Taylor Swift Unhappy After Princeton Review Misquotes Her Lyrics in SAT Test Paper

Image courtesy: TaylorSwiftVEVO/YouTube The popstar of several multi-million dollar hits and multi-million dollar legs , Taylor Swift is not one to be messed with. The Princeton Review found that out the hard way after they published Tay Tay's lyrics as an example of bad grammar on a SAT practice test. To be fair, they were trying to make the point that pop songs are where grammar goes to die and also cited other pop singers such as Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and Kesha. The fiercely loyal Tay Tay fans were not likely to let this go by and Tumblr user Nava who was apparently having ' an amazing time studying for SAT' when she spotted this, posted a snapshot with the caption, " .... it isn't a pop song it's a country pop song so take that Princeton review Taylor is grammar queen so shhhhhh.." Source Unluckily for the Princeton Review however they misquoted the lyrics of the song Fifteen. The question paper wanted students to g...

TAYLOR SWIFT IS WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Singer wins the award for the second time Taylor Swift Taylor Swift topped off an amazing 2014 on Friday by picking up Billboard's coveted Woman of the Year award for the second time. The honour came as the Blank Space singer was preparing to celebrate her 25th birthday on Saturday. She told the audience at the lunchtime gala, "Being named Billboard Woman of the Year for a second time is this amazing early birthday present. I turn 25 at midnight tonight, and I fully intend to celebrate like it's 1989 (the title of her hit new album and the year of her birth)." She also reiterated her stand on streaming music sites after pulling her back catalogue from Spotify.com last month, adding, "I've taken this year to stand up for my value as a songwriter, as a businesswoman and a content creator. I'm very well aware the music industry is changing, and it will continue to change. I'm open to that change and progress. I'm not open to the fin...

'I'll outdo the Stones' promises Taylor Swift

Singer Taylor Swift Taylor Swift plans "to outdo the Rolling Stones" when she plays London's Hyde Park next summer. Ellie Goulding and John Newman have been announced as the support acts for the one-off gig on June 27. The Hyde Park show is the final date on Swift's UK tour. An impeccably placed source said: "Taylor wants this gig to go down in history. Her plans for the production are huge too. She wants to outdo people like the Rolling Stones and the Libertines who have played the gig in the last couple of years. "She's taken note that everyone wants to see what's next." The Stones played Hyde Park last year as part of the same 'British Summer Time' series. Their stage set included the recreation of a woodland, with giant screens surrounded by 70ft high replica oak trees. Rumours abound that Swift will follow the London gig with a headline appearance at Glastonbury. (© Daily Telegraph, London) ...

Sony Says Streaming Music Is the Future, With or Without Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's withdrawal of her song catalogue from Spotify over royalty payments made some people question the future of streaming music. Not Sony. The shift from ownership to access is a foregone conclusion for the company. In four years, streaming and subscriptions will account for 60 percent of the music industry's $8.2 billion in revenue, Sony forecasted today. That's more than triple the 18 percent now. Where Sony and Swift agree is that people should pay for music. The popularity of free songs on services like Spotify and Pandora is the reason why streaming revenues so far have failed to offset the declines in CD sales and downloads. Sony estimates one paid subscription is worth as many as seven free music streams. For every one of Spotify's 12.5 million paid customers, four pay nothing. Getting people to pay up is the music industry's major challenge, Michael Lynton told investors at a briefing in Tokyo. He heads Sony's entertainment busine...

Taylor Swift Named NYC Global Welcome Ambassador

Congrats! Taylor Swift   is now an ambassador for New York City. The singer revealed on “Good Morning America” Monday morning (October 27) that she’ll represent the city for tourists. “You learn a lot when you get here, and the cool thing about being named the Welcome Ambassador for Tourism — which was the craziest, coolest thing — is that I’m still learning,” Swift said on “GMA.” “But I’m so enthusiastic about this city that I feel like, when I love something, I’m very vocal about it, I’m vocal about it with my music. I just go around like, ‘Everybody! New York is amazing!’ So I think they just picked up on that and gave me a title. In a clip from the campaign, Taylor schools us on the pronunciation of Houston Street, which, to out-of-towners, may sound like the city in Texas. Well, Tay tells us we’re wrong. Breaking news: @taylorswift13 is our Global Welcome Ambassador! #WelcomeToNewYork ! http://t.co/6p0bGZQoey #w2ny pic.twitter.com/cwfPb9TAT5 — nycgo (@...
