Taylor Swift Unhappy After Princeton Review Misquotes Her Lyrics in SAT Test Paper

Image courtesy: TaylorSwiftVEVO/YouTube The popstar of several multi-million dollar hits and multi-million dollar legs , Taylor Swift is not one to be messed with. The Princeton Review found that out the hard way after they published Tay Tay's lyrics as an example of bad grammar on a SAT practice test. To be fair, they were trying to make the point that pop songs are where grammar goes to die and also cited other pop singers such as Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga and Kesha. The fiercely loyal Tay Tay fans were not likely to let this go by and Tumblr user Nava who was apparently having ' an amazing time studying for SAT' when she spotted this, posted a snapshot with the caption, " .... it isn't a pop song it's a country pop song so take that Princeton review Taylor is grammar queen so shhhhhh.." Source Unluckily for the Princeton Review however they misquoted the lyrics of the song Fifteen. The question paper wanted students to g...

Jennifer Lawrence found sex scene with Bradley Cooper awkward

Los Angeles:  Jennifer Lawrence 'pointed and laughed' during her sex scenes with 'Serena' co-star Bradley Cooper, and she says she found the experience awkward. Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. Pics/Santa Banta The 24-year-old actress shares a close bond with the 40-year-old actor after working with him on 'American Hustle' and 'Silver Linings Playbook', but their friendship didn't make their intimate scenes in 'Serena' any less uncomfortable, reports femalefirst.co.uk. Asked if a friendship makes sex scenes more comfortable, Jennifer Lawrence told 'Entertainment Tonight': "No. I guess it's more comfortable than not knowing the other person? I don't know. They're just awkward." Bradley Cooper added: "You never know how it's going to be. But for us, we laughed most of the time." "I pointed and laughed," Jennifer Lawrence quipped. Awkward sex scenes aside, the two had...

Jessica Lange Is Definitely Done With American Horror Story But Look Who's Checking in...

Youtube Good news and bad news, American Horror Story fans. Queen Jessica Lange confirmed at tonight's PaleyFest panel that she will not return for American Horror Story: Hotel. "Yes, I'm done," she told the audience, "We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play. In all the madness, I've loved the writers, my actors, Ryan and the whole, I mean, insanity of it, shooting here, shooting in new orleans, the stories, everything." While that is definitely not music to our ears, the panel did offer up a few happier Hotel tidbits, like the fact that White Collar star Matt Bomer will be joining the show for the season, along with 30 Rock star Cheyenne Jackson. Both Bomer and Jackson are pretty familiar with Ryan Murphy and co, having both guest starred on Glee. Bomer also appeared in American Horror Story: Freak Show as a prostitute who was brutally murdered by Dandy ...

Apple's New MacBook Is Almost a Tablet

At a mere 13 millimeters thick and weighing just two pounds, the new Macbook might replace the iPad for some. The new MacBook is an iPad with a keyboard. That may be the best description of the new Apple laptop design, based on Apple’s  launch event  on Monday. At a mere 13 millimeters thick and weighing just two pounds, it approaches the iPad’s portability and is just as spartan, sporting only a  solitary connector.  PLAY VIDEO Why We Should Care About Quantum Computing With mega companies like Microsoft, Google and IBM quietly investing in quantum computing development, word is starting to leak out that the out-there technology with the sci-fi name might be a part of our lives sooner rather than later. DNEWS DCI Consumers tired of trying to shoehorn their iPad into a laptop (i.e., do real work on their iPad) may have finally found the ideal replacement. The new MacBook will replace the iPad for some people, according to Andy ...

Jealous Zedd Bans Selena From Justin Bieber’s 21st Birthday Bash – DJ Knows Selena Loves Justin?

“Happy Birthday Justin Bieber” – said everyone the pop star knows, except Selena Gomez, who didn’t attend the bash. On Sunday March 1st Justin Bieber turned 21 years ol d (which really is ironic since he has been partying at clubs for how many years now). Justin Bieber’s birthday is practically a national holiday on the internet, but one person is NOT sending Biebs any warm wishes, his ex-girlfriend of three years Selena Gomez, who is now dating DJ Zedd. Zedd is madly in love with Selena Gomez, so you can imagine how he felt when she dished to V Magazine in a recent interview that she “would always love” her ex Justin Bieber , and pals of Justin’s revealed that Selena has been blowing up his phone – but he won’t take her calls. Zedd will not let Selena Gomez out of his sight, that became apparent at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party where insiders blabbed that the DJ was smothering fellow “I Want You To Know” singer. When Justin’s 21st birthday neared his camp began making p...

Ariana Grande Shows Off Her Killer Vocals in "Adore"—Listen to the Cashmere Cat Song Here!

Get ready to have another  Ariana Grande  hit on your mind all day! The 21-year-old's second album,  My Everything,  was full of music production from Norwegian producer  Cashmere Cat,  who even nabbed a "featured" credit on "Be My Baby," and now the singer has returned the favor. Cashmere Cat just released a new single titled "Adore," which features Ariana, but don't let that little F-word fool ya. The entire song is Grande and her hypnotizing voice serenading the listener over the Norwegian producer's ecclectic beat. It's really one great electro and R&B pairing that you never saw coming. As for whether or not she's singing about  Big Sean  (oh, c'mon, we all know you're thinking it)—we're gonna go with a "probably." The lyrics go a little something like this: "Boy so what's been on your mind?/ For me it's just you all the time/ We don't need to go nowhere tonight/ It'...

Intel Unveils A Trio Of New Mobile Chips: Atom x3, x5, and x7 - Coming To Phones, Tablets, And Other Stuff

This week at MWC, Intel revealed its 2015 and 2016 mobile chipset lineup, as well as the fact that the company is adopting a similar naming scheme to its Core line of processors with these new chips. They've been dubbed x3, x5, and x7, and as with the Core processors, bigger is generally better. Intel has long been something of a dark horse in the mobile industry. The company has seen negligible penetration in smartphones to date (though not  none ) and competes almost exclusively in the low to mid-range segment in Android tablets. Of course, as the ultraportable market changes and small, super-thin laptops and convertibles become more common, Intel is swooping in with design wins left and right, keeping the likes of Qualcomm, NVIDIA, MediaTek, and Samsung out of a lucrative market. The Ultrabook swing was a huge help to Intel, a beacon of hope as the world's top chipmaker failed to break into mobile. While Intel struggled to foist itself into a viable position in the ...

Mother Monster: Lady Gaga lands role in American Horror Story: Hotel

Lady Gaga may have looked angelic whilst performing at the Oscars on Sunday night, but we all know that she’s a little monster at heart. It seems only fitting then that she’s landed a role in the upcoming series of American Horror Story. The producers have been tight-lipped about the fifth season of the popular FX show , merely revealing that the title will be American Horror Story: Hotel. The star took to Twitter to share the news, posting a black and white video of herself in a mask and body cover, revealing her face as she says the name of the upcoming season. It’s not known what role Gaga has, but with Jessica Lange supposedly having quit the show , there’s room for another big player. Speaking to E! News last year, Lange said, "You know, I told him that we would sit down and have a long conversation when this was over. In a way this character is so great, I don't know how you top Elsa Mars. I really—in deference to Ryan, who I love dearly and who I respect beyond—I...

How much does Joey owe Chandler? One 'Friends' fan did the math

Even with a rent-controlled apartment, living in downtown Manhattan is incredibly expensive. In season 8's “The One Where Rachel is Late,” Joey tries to figure out just how much he owes Chandler for keeping him financially afloat the past three years. When he sees the enormous figure, he hurriedly reassures Chandler that all has been forgiven and calls it even. A curious Redditor wanted to know the actual amount Joey owed, so he posed the question to the They Did the Math subreddit. Within 24 hours, the world had its answer. He then says 3 years worth of rent, utilities, and food. They live in Manhattan in a nice area of The Village, in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, apartment on one of the upper levels. That is a very expensive location to live in; today an apartment like that would cost around $5000 a month easily, using Zillow.com as a guide (and I'm low balling it assuming they got a good deal). Using an online dollar appreciation site, and using the year 1997, i found ...

Phantom Dust Xbox One's Developer Shuttered, But Development Continues

Microsoft claims the game remains in development. Microsoft has cut ties with Darkside Games, the studio responsible for the new Xbox One game Phantom Dust , resulting in the studio's shutdown, according to a new report by Kotaku . The Florida-based independent studio reportedly laid off its staff after Microsoft canceled the version of Phantom Dust it was working on. In a statement to GameSpot, a Microsoft spokesperson didn't address the closure, stating, "Microsoft partnered with Dark side Game Studios in the development of Phantom Dust, but our working relationship has now ended. We have great respect for their studio and their work in the industry." The spokesperson then went on to confirm that Phantom Dust is still coming: "While we do not have anything new to share on Phantom Dust at this time, we can confirm that development of the title continues. We look forward to sharing more details on the game as we get closer to release." As for wh...

‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ Is Getting Popular ‘Gun Game’ Mode

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is one of the most popular games in the long-running series. Advanced Warfare is constantly at or near the top of the sales charts and got a boost with the launch of the brand new Advanced Warfare DLC, Havoc. Now Advanced Warfare is going to be even better thanks to the announcement that it will be getting the multi player Gun Game that has been featured in a number of Call of Duty titles. Cinema Blend reports that Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey teased the announcement of Gun Game with a tweet on Friday in which he showed off a picture of a Gun Game match loading screen. This particular mode was first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops and was incredibly popular. Now that it’s coming to Advanced Warfare that popularity will likely be stoked. If the mode is similar in Advanced Warfare as it is in other games, then six players will start off with just a pistol as their weapon. Players don’t get to choose the loadout when they...

Notches and Quivers: Arrow proves Team Arrow is better without Arrow

Since Esther seems to have pulled an Oliver, I've decided to bring back my Arrow recap for the week.* So: Arrow 3x13 Uprising, the finale of a three parter an episode coming on the heels of an excellent episode and mostly terrible one, manages to be just so-so, mostly because we don't dwell very much on the credulity straining main plot in favour of some great character moments. It's official: we've hit Arrow's midseason slump. Some parts of this episode worked and some of them really didn't. The flashbacks to the time where Tommy's mother was killed were a nice surprise and they worked very well. Merlyn has been a bit of a cartoon villain so far, helped along by John Barrow hamming it up. And it worked, but it's nice to flesh out the character a little more. What didn't work: Attempting to sell us Melyn actually caring about someone else for a change. He's still a fucking psychopath, even his wife's death is all about what he lost and his...

Game of Thrones: The Lost Lords Review – Still Struggling

Last December, Telltale Games kicked off their Game of Thrones story with Iron from Ice, the series’ debut episode. In my review of Iron from Ice, I stated I was disappointed that the game released with a number of quality-impairing bugs on mobile. Audio stuttering, frame-rate issues, and more hampered the highly anticipated release. Now, two months later, the second Game of Thrones episode has released with the same exact issues. I wasn’t even through the “Previously On…” recap before the audio started skipping, lagging nearly a full second behind where it should have been. The audio eventually leveled out, but bouts of stuttering audio persisted throughout the entirety of the game. Nearly every time the scene shifted perspectives, the audio hiccuped. As of this writing, Telltale Games states on the game’s App Store page that Game of Thrones is, “recommended for iPhone 5 and up, and iPad 3 and up – also requires iOS 7 and up,” and that iPhone 4 users shouldn’t even bo...
